MUNCIE, Ind. – Kent State's TJ Lawson holds a 445-point lead halfway through the decathlon competition at the 2019 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The two-time defending champion won four of Thursday's five decathlon events.
The Golden Flashes scored in both event finals of the day and are tied for fifth with eight points.
TJ Lawson totaled 4,141 points on the opening day of competition. He started the day with his highest-scoring event by clocking a 10.
