AUSTIN, Texas – Kent State track and field's Chelsea Laury and TJ Lawson were action Wednesday at the 90th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. After day one of the esteemed competition, Lawson is in seventh-place in the decathlon and Laury is 18th place in the heptathlon.
Lawson finished in the top-10 in four of the five decathlon events and finished the day with a total of 3,883 points. Lawson's best event of the day was the high jump in which he placed second with a mark of 2.03m (6' 8").
