Late Rally Falls Short as Flashes Fall in Friday Doubleheader

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State softball team dropped both games of a wild doubleheader against Ball State on Friday at Devine Diamond. After falling 14-1 in the opening game and trailing by 10 in the second game, the Golden Flashes plated five runs in three different innings but fell 16-15.

Senior Savannah Wing led the offense with three hits — including a double, a triple and a home run — and four RBIs. Sophomores Megan Claerhout and Leilani Johnson recorded three RBIs each on the day.
