KENT, Ohio – The Kent State men's basketball team (19-9, 14-4 MAC) used a last-minute comeback to edge past Central Michigan (7-20, 6-10 MAC) to win its 10th-consecutive Mid-American Conference game for the first time since the historic 2001-02 season.
The Golden Flashes stumbled out of the gate and trailed 13-5 five minutes into the game. They battled to within one point at the half with CMU leading 31-30.
The two teams fought and scratched all second half as well with no team leading by more than four until a Cameron Healy three-pointer put the Chips up 53-46 with 9:33 on the clock.
