Pittsburgh, PA – The Kent State lacrosse team won in overtime against Duquesne, 16-15, this afternoon.
The Golden Flashes struck first with a goal by Kenzie Sklar less than a minute in the first quarter. The Dukes responded quickly tying the score 1-1, two minutes later. After Duquesne took the lead, Allie Lee scored tying the score up again 2-2. Sklar gave the Flashes a huge advantage and scored three goals back-to-back making the score 5-2. After the quarter, Kent State led in shots 8-7, with the score 5-4.
Going into the second quarter, the Dukes tied the score 5-5 after two minutes.
