CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Kent State lacrosse team (1-5) fell 16-4 against Cincinnati (5-2) this afternoon.
The Bearcats came out strong in the first quarter, scoring five goals. Peyton Gellin put the Flashes on the board late in the quarter with an assist by Jackie Wolford. Kent State led in ground balls 7-5.
In the second quarter, Wolford added a goal for the Flashes, bringing the score 6-2. Cincinnati scored with one second remaining before the half to lead 9-2. Kent State led in draw controls 8-5 at the half.
The Bearcats increased the lead 15-2 in the third quarter with Cincinnati leading in shots on goal 9-2.
