The Mid-American Conference announced Saturday that Kent State's Taylor Kim has been named the Women's Golfer of the Week.
Kim, who entered this week ranked as the No. 33 player in the country, shot under par in all three rounds at the Briar's Creek Invitational to tie for a 5th place finish. She opened the event with two rounds of 1-under, 71's then finished with a 2-under, 20 to finish with a total of 212, 4-under par. Kim was only four strokes off the leader, who is the No. 15 golfer in the nation. In seven events, 24 rounds this season she has four top five finishes.
