KENT, Ohio- The Kent State men's basketball team defeated Eastern Michigan, 86-76, Monday night in the opening round game of the Mid-American Conference Tournament at the M.A.C. Center.
With the victory, Kent State (20-12) advance to the quarterfinals where they will face Western Division Co-Champion Ball State on Thursday night at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
KSU had all five starters score in double figures led by junior Danny Pippen who scored 20 points going a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line. Senior Antonio Williams added 18 points with four rebounds and three assists.
