Kent State’s Bats Quieted in Loss to Western Michigan

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State University baseball team (12-16) fell to 2-4 in Mid-American Conference play, dropping the second game of the series 11-1 to Western Michigan (8-19, 2-4 MAC) Saturday afternoon at Schoonover Stadium. The Flashes offense was quieted to just five hits on the day after tallying 12 hits a day ago.

Senior Josh Hollander led the Kent State offense, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. Seniors Kian O'Brien and Pavin Parks and redshirt sophomore Ben Carew each added hits on the day, while junior Alex Ronnebaum picked up the lone RBI of the game.
