KENT, Ohio – Freshman Asiah Dingle scored 13 of her career-high 29 points in the final period as Kent State earned a 71-64 victory over Eastern Michigan in the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams Saturday at the M.A.C. Center.
Playing in the first conference game of her collegiate career, Dingle showed that she is ready for the bright lights. She made plays all over the floor to finish with nine rebounds, five steals and three blocked shots, setting a new career-high in each category.
The Golden Flashes (8-4, 1-0 MAC) scored more than half of their points from long range, shooting a season-best 12-for-22 on three-point tries.
