CLEVELAND – The Kent State University golf programs have swept this week's Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week awards, with Michaela Finn and Josh Whalen taking the honors.
Finn led the women's golf team to their first tournament victory of the fall season, with the squad taking its second straight title at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, hosted in Austin by Texas. Her score of 209 (68-71-70) ties the best 54-hole score of her career and is among the best scores in program history. She is one of only eight golfers to hit 209 or better over 54 holes and she's reached that mark twice this fall.
