Knoxville, TENN... After kicking off their 25th season with a third-place finish at the Dick McGuire Invitational last week, the Kent State women's golf team, now ranked 46th in the nation, will travel to Tennessee for this year's Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate.
The Flashes will have their work cut out for them as nine of the 14 teams competing this week will also enter the tournament ranked in the top 50, including #5 Wake Forest, #9 Virginia, #19 Michigan and #28 Michigan State.
Mayka Hoogeboom will lead the way, fresh off a women's MAC Golfer of the Week nod and an individual win in Albuquerque a week ago.
