Kent State Rallies Past Green Bay for Historic Victory in WNIT First Round

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Kent State overcame a 13-point deficit late in the third period to take down host Green Bay, 64-59, in a WNIT first round matchup Thursday evening at the Kress Center. The victory is the Golden Flashes' first ever in WNIT action, and the first postseason tournament win since 1996.

Redshirt junior Megan Carter scored 10 of her game-high 21 points in the final period to lead the comeback. Freshman Lindsey Thall buried three crucial three-pointers, as the duo combined to outscore the Phoenix, 19-16, over the final 10 minutes.
