BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Kent State scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 10-9 victory over UMass on Sunday at the Camel Stampede.
This was the second walk-off win for the Golden Flashes (2-3) during opening weekend, previously beating East Tennessee State in 11 innings on Friday.
Trailing 3-0 entering the bottom of the second, Kent State plated eight for its highest-scoring inning of the season. With the bases loaded, a single by redshirt sophomore Kendal Leitner brought home junior Carley Penner to get the Flashes on the board.
