Kent State men’s basketball / Late Friday: Ohio snaps Golden Flashes’ five-game win streak 72-61

ATHENS, Ohio: Antonio Campbell scored 22 of his 28 points in the second half and Ohio snapped Kent State’s five-game winning streak with a 72-61 win on Friday night.

Kenny Kaminski added 12 points for the Bobcats (13-7, 4-4 Mid-American), who lost the first meeting 89-82.

Ohio had an early 11-point lead and was up 30-23 at the half. The Golden Flashes closed within 34-33 on a Kellon Thomas 3-pointer with 17:33 to play but a Wadly Mompremier dunk and Jaaron Simmons layup pushed the lead to 12 at 10:41.

Kent State cut it to five before Treg Setty scored seven straight for the Bobcats and the lead was back to 10 with 4:38 remaining.
