Kent: Jimmy Hall has started the season off on the right foot.
After a 19-point, 18-rebound performance in Kent State’s season-opening win over Cleveland State, Hall followed it up with a 23-point, nine-rebound home opener — including 16 points and seven bounds in the first half — to lead the Golden Flashes to a 93-63 win over Mississippi Valley State Wednesday night.
“I was just trying to play unselfishly and let the game come to me,” Hall, a redshirt senior forward, said. “Coach [Rob Senderoff] has been telling me a lot, ‘Don’t worry about the offense, try to worry about swinging the ball and just play the right way.
