In the wake of a pair of injuries that put the Kent State men’s basketball team’s season on an altered path, the Golden Flashes have needed more from their best player.
And forward Jimmy Hall, a first-team All-Mid-American Conference player last season, has delivered — up to a point.
Hall has put up slight increases in both his scoring (16.1 points) and rebounding (7.8) averages since KSU lost guards Jaylin Walker (foot sprain, out 1-3 weeks) and Xavier Pollard (foot surgery, potentially out for the season) to injuries.
But what the Flashes need now is for Hall to not only produce more individually but to increase the effectiveness of the offense as a whole.
