WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Kent State (7-5) was unable to end the weekend on a good note as they lost 4-2 to Quinnipiac (5-5) on Sunday afternoon.
The 1st inning went by quietly with action picking up in the 2nd. The Bobcats had bases loaded with one out in the top of the frame, but Joey Murray induced two flyouts to put the bats in the Flashes' hands. It gave Kent State some momentum as they were able to take a 1-0 lead. Dom Iero began the inning with a walk before Tim DalPorto and Patrick Ferguson singled for the tally.
