CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Kent State women's track and field team had a conference-high 23 student-athletes named to Academic All-MAC Team for the indoor season, as the Mid-American Conference recognized a total of 173 student-athletes for their successes in the classroom and in competition on Wednesday. No other school had more than 17 student-athletes honored.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
