Kent State Holds First Women’s Basketball Practice of 2018-19

KENT, Ohio — The Kent State women's basketball team held its first official practice of the 2018-19 season on Sunday evening inside of the M.A.C. Center. The practice comes 40 days ahead of the Golden Flashes' first regular season game on November 9 at North Carolina.

Kent State returns just three players who logged more than 200 minutes last season, which ended with a 13-19 overall record. One of the most heralded freshman classes in school history accounts for five of the Flashes' seven newcomers.

"I thought our energy was really good for a first practice, and I saw some really good things from the team tonight," said third-year head coach Todd Starkey.
