AUGUSTA, Ga. – Kent State was represented at the biggest stage in golf over the weekend as former Flashes golfer Corey Conners finished tied for eighth at The Masters.
The Canadian international opened the 89th edition of the event with a strong opening round on Thursday, carding a 4-under-par 68 to sit tied for second after 18 holes. At one point during the opening round, Conners was the leader in the clubhouse before Justin Rose tallied a 7-under-par 65 later in the day. Conners continued his strong start with a 2-under-par 70 on Friday to sit just two strokes shy of the lead entering Saturday's moving day.
