KENT: Kent State’s Ernest Calhoun, a fifth-year senior wide receiver from Buchtel High School, believes having a short memory is simple.
Just forget and move forward.
And that’s just what the Golden Flashes (0-2) — who lost 39-36 in four overtimes Saturday to North Carolina A&T State — need to do. The Flashes had defeated 13 consecutive FCS teams prior to the loss, and the Aggies (2-0) had never before defeated an FBS school.
The Flashes’ home opener, the game’s start was delayed by rain for over two hours. By the time the Aggies’ third-string quarterback tossed the game-winning touchdown, it was past midnight.
