KENT: Kent State has played three different quarterbacks so far this season, but it was the guy who lost two weeks ago — redshirt freshman Mylik Mitchell — who coach Paul Haynes said lifted them to a win Saturday.
Mitchell’s play was the first thing Haynes mentioned Monday at his weekly press conference.
“Offensively, it all starts with the quarterback position,” said Haynes, who for the first time this season got to talk about a win — 27-7 over Monmouth Saturday at Dix Stadium.
The Flashes (1-2) lost in four overtimes to North Carolina A&T State on Sept.
