KENT, Ohio – Kent State suffered a 3-0 (21-25, 16-25, 16-25) setback to divisional rival Ohio in Thursday night's 'Dig for the Cure' match inside of the M.A.C. Center.
The Golden Flashes (7-8, 0-3 MAC) posted a .375 hitting percentage in a competitive first set. Kent State grabbed its largest lead of the night, 7-3, on a kill by sophomore Melissa Kolurbasi. Ohio fought back for a 15-13 lead, but freshman Morgan Copley and sophomore Danie Tyson combined for a block and Kolurbasi added another kill to even the set at 15-15.
