AKRON, Ohio – Kent State (26-23) defeated Ball State (34-20) 4-1 at Firestone Stadium on Friday morning at Firestone Stadium in the Mid-American Conference Tournament. The No. 2 seeded Golden Flashes advance in the loser's bracket and will now battle No. 5 Central Michigan at 2 p.m.
In a game that began last night and was suspended due to rain, Kent State scored three runs in the first inning. Kaitlyn Miller led off with a single to center and was followed up by a Hunter Brancifort hit by pitch and a Bailey Brownfield walk.
