WILMINGTON, N.C. – Despite taking an early lead, the Kent State soccer team (2-3-1) fell to Fairleigh Dickinson (2-4-0), 2-1, on Sunday morning at the Courtyard by Marriott UNCW Soccer Invitational.
Sophomore Vital Kats scored the only Golden Flashes goal off a penalty kick in the 30th minute. Kats hit the bottom right corner of the goal for her first score of the season.
The Knights were quick to answer, and just 10 minutes later Viktorija Miseljic scored on a one timer off a cross from Elma Kolenovic.
