KENT: Kent State took care of business in its final tuneup before Mid-American Conference play gets underway, defeating Oberlin 104-58 Saturday night at the M.A.C. Center.
Kent State’s 104 points were the most in a single game since a Nov. 23, 2013 matchup with Niagara that ended in a 102-97 win. The Golden Flashes (9-4) shot 57 percent from the field and out-rebounded Oberlin (6-5) 48-23. It was the kind of smooth win coach Rob Senderoff was hoping for as they head into conference play.
“I thought we were unselfish, which was the most important thing,” Senderoff said.
