KENT, Ohio- VonCameron Davis, a senior from Columbus Walnut Ridge who signed a letter of intent to play for the Kent State men's basketball team last November, has been named this year's All-Ohio Mr. Basketball announced Wednesday by the OHSAA.
" I'm Really happy for Von, his high school coach, Coach Jefferson, everyone at walnut ridge, and his entire family," said head coach Rob Senderoff. "What a great accomplishment and we are really excited for him to join us next season."
Davis is the first Mr. Basketball to commit to Kent State since the award started in 1988.
