BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Kent State women's basketball team led by as many as 20 points during Sunday's Christmas City Classic championship game and defeated a pesky Southern Illinois team, 72-66.
Graduate student Lindsey Thall set the tone with a trio of three-pointers in the game's first five minutes. Thall finished with a season-best 20 points and was named MVP of the tournament. Junior Casey Santoro shot 8-of-9 from the foul line in the fourth quarter and finished with 15 points, also earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
