KENT, Ohio – The Kent State field hockey team dominated against Bellarmine, 4-1, this evening to receive the Mid-American Conference Championship regular season title.
Both the Knights and Golden Flashes came out strong in the first quarter. Eight minutes in, the Flashes earned a penalty corner and Maria Cambra Soler scored from assists by Danielle Hamm and Iris Bekker. About two minutes later, Bellarmine tied up the score 1-1. However, Maria Cambra Soler came back and scored her second goal of the game to end the quarter 2-1.
