Kent State Can't Contain Western Michigan in 73-52 Loss

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan (10-6, 2-2) proved to be too much for Kent State (3-11, 0-4) Wednesday night as the Flashes fell 73-52 at University Arena.

The Broncos shot out of the opening tipoff, making their first three shots and forcing two turnovers to go up 7-0 before the Golden Flashes were able to get a shot off. But, that momentum was just as quickly stifled in the early going as Kent State followed up with a 6-0 run to bring the game within one.

A nice inside move by Jordan Korinek gave the Flashes their first lead with two minutes to play in the first quarter, making it a 14-13 game.
