KENT, OHIO- In accordance with Kent State University's decisions to slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Kent State football has elected to cancel its spring showcase scheduled for Saturday, April 11th.
The showcase would have been the traditional end to the Golden Flashes' 15 spring practices. Those practices have been suspended through April 12 when normal campus activities are scheduled to resume.
"The welfare of our student-athletes is always at the forefront of what we do as a program," head coach Sean Lewis said. "We are following the guidance of university administration in making these tough decisions.
