KENT, Ohio – Kent State defeated Bowling Green, 6-1, Sunday afternoon at Devine Diamond to secure its second series sweep of a Mid-American Conference opponent this season.
The Golden Flashes (22-18, 8-10 MAC) played from behind for the first time during the series after the Falcons hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning.
Senior Emily Lippe provided the go-ahead hit in the bottom of the third with towering two-run blast over the scoreboard beyond the left field fence.
Kent State extended the lead with two runs in the fourth.
