KENT, Ohio – Behind junior Vital Kats' third career multi-goal match and team defense, the Kent State soccer team (4-5-2, 2-1-1 MAC) downed Toledo (3-9-0, 0-4-0 MAC), 3-0, on a cloudy and rainy Sunday afternoon at Dix Stadium. Junior Cameron Shedenhelm set a new career high with four points (1g, 2a) in the match and the Golden Flashes defensive unit earned its third clean sheet of the year.
Kats scored her first goal in the 28th minute as she streaked down the left side and received a pass in stride from Shedenhelm.
