KENT, Ohio – For the second straight year both sophomore Vital Kats and senior Paige Culver were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Teams, the association announced Tuesday. Kats was named to the first team, while Culver landed on the third team.
Kats led the Golden Flashes with 25 points (8g, 9a) which ranked fourth most in the Mid-American Conference and ranks fifth for a single season in school history. Her six-point (2g, 2a) performance against Northern Illinois tied for the second most in a match in program history. She also put up a five-point (2g, 1a) outburst at Miami.
