KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Kent State scored 19 of its 22 points in the javelin throw and finished Thursday's opening day of the Mid-American Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships atop the leaderboard.
Grace Tennant led the way in second with a throw of 147' 9" to earn All-MAC honors. Despite also competing in the heptathlon, Karlea Duhon was right behind in third with a mark of 132'-9". Grace Frye's throw of 115'-9" was good for sixth and Morgan White finished seventh with a top mark of 112'-7".
