SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Kent State University had a strong showing this past weekend at the 2017 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the 2017 Jamaican Championships.
In Jamaica, Danniel Thomas-Dodd won the shot put and qualified for the World Championships with a throw of 18.80m. She won the event by nearly three meters and cleared the qualifying mark for the World Championships by almost a full meter. The IAAF World Championships will take place in London beginning August 5.
Reggie Jagers highlighted the weekend at the USATF Championships in the discus throw, continuing his outstanding run of success.
