DES MOINES, Iowa — Former Kent State All-American Reggie Jagers III recorded one of the biggest victories of his career during Sunday's final day of the 2018 USATF Outdoor Championships at Drake Stadium. Jagers III needed a lifetime throw of 68.65 meters (225'-1") to take home the men's discus throw title.
The southpaw's impressive mark is the best by a left-handed thrower all-time and ranks fifth in the 2018 world outdoor rankings.
Jagers III set the facility record with his victory at the Drake Relays in April, but that record was bested three times during the competition prior to his fifth attempt, with which he topped his personal-best throw entering the meet by nearly three meters.
