Jagers and Stevens Earn First Team All-American Honors

EUGENE, Ore. – Kent State track & field's Reggie Jagers III (discus) and AJ Stevens (triple jump) earned First Team All-America honors in their respective events Friday at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Jagers, a redshirt senior, finished runner-up in the discus with a career-best mark of 62.51m (205' 1"), extending his own Kent State record. Jagers' top mark came on his second attempt, giving him the lead going into the final round of throws. Filip Mihaljevic of Virginia eclipsed Jagers' mark with a throw of 63.
