CLEVELAND – The Kent State Golden Flashes defeated regional rival Cleveland State University on Saturday night by a final score of 68-52. Senior forward Cli'Ron Hornbeak recorded his second career double-double in the win over the Vikings.
Points were at a premium in the opening 10 minutes with the Golden Flashes taking an early lead. Morgan Safford and Anthony Morales each hit threes to build a slight cushion for KSU. Following a few successful defensive stops by Cleveland State, the Flashes extended the lead with a trio of threes from VonCameron Davis, Jalen Sullinger, and Safford.
