KENT, Ohio – The Kent State gymnastics was defeated by No. 25 West Virginia, 195.950-194.875, during Saturday afternoon's Beauty and the Beast meet at the M.A.C. Center.
Kent State (2-5) scored a season-best 48.850 on vault bars (49.125). The Golden Flashes also improved upon their season average on floor (48.975) and beam (48.650).
"I think we bounced back pretty well tonight on three events," said head coach Brice Biggin. "Our focus remains on taking every routine one at a time and not getting ahead of ourselves. All four events are important.
