LORETTO, Pa. - On Saturday, the Kent State women's lacrosse team traveled to Pennsylvania to play Saint Francis. The Golden Flashes took care of business and came away with the victory, 17-14.
Kent State was led in scoring by senior and team captain Megan Kozar, whose five goals off the bench served as the catalyst to the Flashes' victory. Sophomore Jackie Wolford contributed four goals of her own, leading the team with 25 goals and 27 points on the season.
After getting out to a 1-0 lead to begin the game on a goal by Danielle Hernandez, Saint Francis would never regain that lead, trailing from 7:25 onward.
