KENT, Ohio – After coming back from a four-run deficit to send the game to extra innings, Kent State lost the series finale to visiting Ball State, 12-6, at Devine Diamond on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Flashes' bats stayed hot and totaled 10 hits, including a season-high seven extra-base hits. Sophomore Leilani Johnson homered for the second game in a row and had a double, sophomore Ellie Facher hit her first collegiate triple and four additional batters had doubles.
Both teams scored a run in the first inning, with Kent State's coming on a RBI groundout by sophomore Megan Claerhout.
