KENT, Ohio – Kent State lacrosse launched its 2019 home slate this afternoon against Robert Morris, where they were defeated by the Colonials, 11-6, in the inaugural home game at Dix Stadium.
For the second consecutive game, Abby Jones fired a hat trick for the Golden Flashes bringing her season total to a team-high six goals. Lluna Katz recorded two goals in the game, including the first lacrosse goal at Dix Stadium with five minutes to go in the first half.
Grace Merrill was stellar in goal for the second straight game, allowing just 11 goals on 36 shots and recorded a season-high 19 saves.
