Kent State's track and field programs will stay close to home this weekend as they partake in the Northeast Ohio Quad hosted by the University of Akron at Lee R. Jackson Track Complex April 14-15.
The two-day event featuring Akron, Ashland, Kent State and Youngstown State gets underway Friday at 3:30 p.m. with the women's hammer throw followed by the men's hammer throw to conclude competition for the day. On Saturday, the field events get underway at 10 a.m. with the women's javelin and the running events are set to begin at 1:30 p.m. with the women's 3000m steeplechase.
