BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Kent State was unable to uphold a four-point lead in the opening minutes of the fourth period in a 60-59 loss to Bowling Green on Wednesday evening inside of the Stroh Center.
The Golden Flashes (9-9, 2-4 MAC) appeared to be headed for another big fourth quarter after scoring 27 points in each of their previous two games. McKenna Stephens scored one the first two possessions of the final period, and Naddiyah Cross found Megan Carter on a backcut for a layup at the 7:47 mark to give the Golden Flashes a 44-40 lead.
