MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Kent State lacrosse team opened MAC play on Sunday afternoon with a thrilling 10-9 overtime victory on the road at Central Michigan.
The Flashes (5-5, 1-0) were led by junior midfielder Peyton Gellin, who scored four goals in the game, including the game-winner in overtime as Kent State claimed the win in their first overtime contest of 2025.
After a slow first quarter, where the Chippewas grabbed the only goal to hold a 1-0 lead after 15 minutes, the Flashes' offense kicked into gear in the second quarter.
