Kent State track and field won four events in the last session of the Akron Invitational Saturday at the Stile Field House.
“This is just another preparation meet to get ready for the bigger meets,” coach Mike Schober said after practice Thursday.
Riak Reese won both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash with times of 6.70 seconds in the 60-meter dash and 21.02 seconds in the 200-meter dash. Reese ranks fourth in program history in each event.
“Riak did have a pretty good day; we were hoping for more,” Schober said.
Schober said Reese ran a “little bit” off his personal record in the 60-meter dash Saturday; Reese’s personal record is 6.
