KENT, Ohio - The Kent State field hockey team (5-9, 3-2 MAC) won 3-1 against Lock Haven (4-9) this afternoon.
The Flashes came out strong in the first quarter and Katie Wuerstle scored in the first minute of play with an assist by Eva Usoz. Before the end of the quarter, Patricia Strunk converted a penalty corner and scored to bring the lead 2-0.
In the second quarter, the Bald Eagles recorded two corners and one shot on goal.
To bring the Flashes lead up 3-0, Maybritt Duwel took a shot on goal and scored off a rebound in the third quarter.
