Twenty-two new scholarship players will be a part of Kent State's football program this summer, after national letters of intent were signed Wednesday morning. The Golden Flashes' 2017 class represents nine different states, which includes 19 current seniors in high school, two junior college students and one early enrollee.
Collectively, the class holds a 3.2 grade point average and includes 16 multi-sport high school athletes and 18 high school captains. Six players were members of state championship teams, 13 were all-state selections and two were players of the year in their respective states.
